Since I was very little, I have been writing. I wrote my first story after watching a Blues Clues episode that ended with Blue writing her own story. I drew a series of nonsensical pictures and had my mom write captions for them. The pages were sealed in contact paper and bound. Thus, “The Funny Book” was created.
Around Kindergarten or first grade, I wrote a series of stories called “The Dog and the Rabbit”. From then on, I’ve been allowing my vibrant imagination to spew onto pages in the form of stories.
For a large part of my life, I wanted to be a Children’s book author. And really, I still think it would be awesome. There was even a point when I told my teachers I wanted to be a bibliotherapist and help struggling kids through relatable stories.
In my adult life, I didn’t take writing as seriously as when I was younger. High school and college turned reading and writing into a dull chore that diminished my love of creation. Now, I’ve decided to take back that joy.
Through this blog, I aim to combine two of my favorite things: Travel and story-writing. For the most part, I will be writing stories from the memories of past travels. I want to keep them safe here, and have them when I can no longer remember.
My only hope is that these stories entertain and perhaps inspire you to have some adventures of your own.
Thanks for reading.
